A man with two faces - Edward Mordake


It is said literally that every human has two faces, good and evil. But in case of Edward Mordake physically had two faces.

Edward Mordake's story dates back to 19th century. Actually there is no written histories or records about him but his life story is spread word by mouth. Edward Mordake belongs to a nobel and rich English family. He is born as a parasitic twins, this case is similiar to conjoined twins because his story depicts that his other face is independent in other words not in control of Edward Mordake. Edward Mordake's first face was said to be charming and handsome he is a scholar, a musician and a young man in possession of profound grace.

The second face or his other character or his brother or evil. It has been said that the eyes of evil face would follow spectators and its lips would ‘gibber’ relentlessly and silently.Edward begged doctors to have his "demon head" removed, because, supposedly, it whispered satanist language to him at night, but no doctor would attempt it. He committed suicide at the age of 23. a letter requesting that the ‘demon face’ be destroyed before his burial, ‘lest it continues its dreadful whisperings in my grave.
